The Cat Meme Meets Neopets

A silly piece I've made to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Neopets. Unfortunately, I was rather busy with another project at the time, so this piece ended up being rushed.

I drew it in Flash 8, which seemed proper, as I recall reading in the Neopian Times editorial that The Neopets Team were mainly using Flash for art. I tried to match the colours to those used on the site, and made sure the little feline (Kadoatie) got to dine at Kelp - Neopia's finest restaurant. I looked up official art of the restaurant's interior, as well as the in-game items from its menu. Kadoaties are famously picky eaters, so this seemed fitting.

I didn't have a plan for this piece, other than to post it on Twitter and thereby share it with other Neopets fans around the world.
I'd be more than happy to make a more polished version of this meme parody, if The Neopets Team wanted to use the image for anything :)
